Vitamin-C Smoothie

February 21, 2010 by Katie Mae Stanley 2 Comments

Recently I have been enjoying delicious blood oranges that grow in our citrus grove. They are so yummy and packed full of vitamin-c. The color is exquisite! Some are a deep red such as the one seen in the picture, while others only have a strain of red running through them. You can definitely see why they get their name. I love the color they add to my smoothies!

The smoothie I made here is jam-packed full of vitamin-c. One serving will give you over 300% of the suggested daily value of vitamin-C. For an extra bit of vitamin-c leave the green tops on the strawberries. They contain more vitamin-c than the entire berry! The perfect drink for the cold season!
