Chocolate Coconut Milk Ice Cream
Homemade Magic Chocolate Shell
Heat the coconut oil over low heat until just melted. Stir in your choice of sweetener until dissolved. Gently whisk in the cocoa powder. Pour over your ice cream and watch it “magically” freeze making a delightful treat!

I made both of these for dessert tonight and it was a hit with everyone – including a picky 6 year old. Quick question … How do you store the extra magic shell? Pantry? Fridge? Thx!

That’s wonderful! I normally don’t have any left but I would store in in the fridge.

I love chocolate shells like that – they remind me of being a kid! I’m sure the coconut milk adds a lovely flavour to your ice cream as well as being allergy friendly. It certainly looks delicious!

Heather, you should! I love being able to have a magic shell that is good for me. I make mine pretty bitter, so if you like things sweet you might want to up the sweetener a bit. I think with the ice cream though they balance each other out well.
