Real Food Iced Coffee Shop Drinks to Make at Home

Real Food Iced Coffee Shop Drinks to Make at Home-www.nourishingsimplicity.org

I love coffee. I’m sure I’ve mentioned my love of the bitter brew before. Sometimes I still feel a bit guilty since well, I wrote a cookbook about everything tea…. When I started this blog coffee was not on the radar at all. Since then we’ve become good friends.

Summer is the perfect time to cool down with iced coffee drinks. You can find many tasty beverages, even ones made with quality ingredients like two of my favourites School Grounds and Ritual. Alas, my pocketbook doesn’t like me to indulge in them very often. With fancy iced coffee drinks ranging from $3.50-$5.00 just for a small it’s a once a month or less kind of thing.

Fancy iced coffee drinks may seem overwhelming to make but let me assure you they aren’t. All you need is quality coffee beans, a coffee maker, and an ice cube try. My “essentials” are pretty basic, I use a cheap grinder, a french press, and an espresso percolator. I use my french press for teas as well.

Fancy drinks get a bad rap but when you use real food ingredients like raw milk, maple syrup, stevia, and homemade almond milk you can enjoy them more often and save money at the same time!

If you are looking for hot drinks be sure to check out my sweet friend Elsie of Richly Rooted‘s post on The Humbled Homemaker.
