The First Valentine {Plus Other Tips, Stories and Thoughts for Celebrating the Day}

February 5, 2014 by Katie Mae Stanley 1 Comment

ValentinesMAM

Valentine’s Day is right around the corner. It seems like every store you go into is covered in red, pink and hearts.

Over the years I never gave much thought to why we celebrated the day. I knew that God loved us and gave himself up for us but outside of playing Agape (Bingo) that was about it. Then one day I heard a beautiful story about the real Saint Valentine that made me have a whole new appreciation for the day.

There are many different variations of the tale so today I want to share with you my favorite version at Modern Alternative Mama.
