Spring time is here! That means strawberries are coming into season soon. I love buying fresh strawberries from local roadside stands. You can be sure they were picked that day. I grew up eating locally grown strawberries, they are bright red and bursting with flavor. The first time I ate some from a store I was surprised by the bland taste and white insides. While I do my best to eat sustainable, organic foods I make an exception from time to time for fresh strawberries.

Stawberries are delicous on there own, dipped in dark chcockate (yes please), ice cream, yougurt, shakes, smoothies…. you name it. One of my new found loves in strawberry lemonade. This delicous drink takes only minutes to make. It is lightly sweetned with local raw honey making for  more tart lemonade.

Join me at Modern Alternative Mama to learn how make this tasty drink!

Hey Katie, I tried pinning this but it won’t let me use this image to pin. I tried doing it from the MAM site and it wouldn’t let me there either. Why?

I wonder if it is because I unloaded the picture to flicker, then used the html code to drop it in the post. Later this morning I will try taking it out of the post and manually putting it in.Thanks for letting me know.
