Summer and fall seem to be at odds with each other. Just a few weeks ago we were out at the local pool for our last swim of the season. The weather cooled off of a bit before jumping back up to the high 80s. That’s life in Baja I guess. Slowly but surely fall is settling in. Today is the first “real” raining day we have had since last spring. I find myself delighted to be curled up with a mug of coffee and warm socks.

Yes, fall is here yet I know that there will be more warm days ahead, which is why I have some pumpkin treats up my sleeves for those days when you can’t enjoy a pumpkin pie lattes or steaming chai tea. It would just be cruel to deprive one’s self of pumpkin delights just because it is hot right?

Let me introduce you to my new friend, The Pumpkin Pie Fauxccino. It’s contains all the promises of autumn but can be slurped through a straw, allowing you to comfort yourself with the fact that it really is October even when it doesn’t feel like it. For those of you that are a fan of Starbucks tasty fall drinks I’ve been told that this fauxccino is a happy substitute. I’ve never actually had one myself so I wouldn’t know….

Regardless of I love this drink, I’ve made it quite a few times (I won’t say how many), so many times that I am out of puree and need to make some more.
