Creamy peanut butter hot cocoa- if you are a fan of peanut butter cups, you are in need of a mug of this in the near future.
Cold winter days call for a mug (or several), of hot cocoa to warm the body and soul. Who am I kidding, hot cocoa should be enjoyed every season of the year…
There is something special about wrapping your hands around a cup of cocoa.
So often hot cocoa is simply thought of as only a packet of powder mixed into hot water. People get intimidated by the thought of making it themselves when in reality it so easy to make. If you have some type of milk, cocoa powder, and a sweetener then you have the makings for a delightful cup of hot cocoa!
From start to finish you can have a mug for just yourself or several others ready in about 5 minutes. You will never be wishing for a packet of instant cocoa again. If for some reason you are, then this nourishing and tasty mix is perfect in a pinch!
This peanut butter hot cocoa is Hygee in a cup, just what every gal (or guy) needs to cozy up and slow down for a bit in the busy day-to-day.
I collect hot cocoa recipe like some people collect teacups. There is never enough variations. In fact, I currently have a recipe (and then some) for every day of the week on this blog. From the traditional classic to peppermint, to more unique flavors like orange or Earl Grey raspberry.
Peanut butter hot cocoa may make the list as a favourite. It is rich, creamy, and full of protein with just the right amount of sweetness. This version is bittersweet, if you want it to be sweeter, simply up the amount of coconut sugar or add stevia until it is how you would like it to taste. To make the cocoa more fun and special, top it with homemade whipped cream!
