Think candles are hard and time consuming to make? You can make simple soy wax candles in less than 30 minutes!
Ingredients
1 cup (3 oz) soy wax
2 tablespoons Beeswax
2 tablespoons coconut oil
30 drops orange essential oil
10 drops cassia essential oil
4 drops clove essential oil (optional)
2 wicks with metal bottom
2 3 oz jars or metal contianers
Instructions
Metl the soy wax, beeswax, and coconut oil in a double boiler or melting pot.
Once the mixture has just melted, remove from heat, add the essential oils, and stir for 30 seconds.
Dip the bottom of the wick into the melted wax to adhere it to the bottom of the contianer. You can also put a drop of hot glue in the middle of the contianer to hold the wick more firmly. Prop the wick upright, and pour the wax into the container. You can use a pencil, or better yet thread the wick through the spring of a cloths pin to insure it stays up straight.
Allow the candles to cool completely. Trim to the wick to 1/4 inch in height. Burn candles within sight and away from flmmable objects, children, and pets.
