Soap making doesn't get any easier when you take a shortcut and use a soap base to create your own simple sugar scrub soap bars! It will leave your skin feeling clean and refreshed!
Thie recipe makes one bar, feel free to double or tripple the recipe. Just keep in mind that you will need to buy more than one mold or wait for each bar to cool inorder to reuse the mold.
Ingredients
1 tabplespoon (0.5 oz) glycerin soap base
2 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon dried lavender
3 drops essential oil of choice*
soap mold
Instructions
In a double boiler, or in a microwave using 10 second intervals, heat the soap base until just melted.
Once soap is just melted stir in the essential oils and sugar. This will cause the soap to begin to solidify.
Gently reheat the mixture until just melted.
Pour into mold and add flowers. If they float to the surface, use a toothpick to push them back down into the soap. Allow bar to cool and harden.
To use, scrub and lather body in the bath or shower.

*This recipe uses a blend called "Happy Joy" contianing, Geranium, Sweet Orange, Grapefruit, and Ylang Ylang essential oils.
